One headquarters in a village.
Arpana is run from Madhuban, a village in Karnal district, Haryana — not from a city office. From there its programmes reach the plains of Haryana, the Ravi valley of Chamba in Himachal Pradesh, and the resettlement colonies of Delhi.

Hill hamlets hours from a road. Arpana's presence here is fifty years old: a health centre at Upper Bakrota, a centre at Gajnoi, and groups and producer organisations across 51 villages.
